Unlike self-governed schools and federations, The Taekwondo Academy is fully credentialed by the main governing boards of traditional and Olympic Taekwondo both in America and internationally. Our students are able to compete locally or on the international stage depending on their personal goals.
Family-owned and operated, our instructional team brings decades of experience, balancing adherence to strict world standards while emphasizing that family and community always come first. At TKDA, students have the opportunity to go as far as their skill and drive take them.
The only school in the region recognized by both American and international governing bodies
USATKD Safe Sport certified with programs designed for every age and ability level
A multi-generational community where students aged 3 to 73+ train together
Train to compete locally, nationally, or on the international Olympic stage
Tae Kwon Do training is a full-body workout that improves overall physical and mental health through an Eastern approach of balance in all things. It is the art of self-defense that originated in Korea — one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world, reaching back over 2,000 years.
The name itself tells the story: Tae (foot), Kwon (hand), Do (art). It is not merely a sport — it is a complete philosophy of life.

Kids are motivated to exercise and improve so that they can achieve higher and higher belt rankings and the privileges associated with them — until they reach the life-changing milestone of Black Belt.
Children who train in Taekwondo have been proven to achieve higher grades in school. At our academy, students are required to do their best academically in order to continue participating — reinforcing excellence in all areas of life.
Taekwondo has been shown to reduce stress levels through a full-body workout that stresses balance in both physical and mental preparedness. Practitioners find a significant reduction in mental stress and an overall elevation in mood through the training programs.
There have been many health benefits found, including enhancement in core strength, balance, and mental focus — even in adults who begin training as late as their senior years. Older adults find an increase in overall quality of life from being part of a multi-generational program.

Our youngest warriors begin their journey. Structured play-based learning builds coordination, listening skills, and the foundational movements of Taekwondo in a nurturing, fun environment.
Young students develop real Taekwondo technique, discipline, and competitive spirit. Belt progression motivates continuous improvement while building character that lasts a lifetime.
Comprehensive training for teens and adults combining fitness, self-defense, and mental discipline. Whether you're a complete beginner or returning practitioner, you belong here.
One-on-one instruction tailored to your specific goals, pace, and schedule. Perfect for accelerated learning, competition prep, or students who thrive in individual attention settings.
